Terms of service

1. The deal
By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use RingTheTill.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity that happens under your account. Use a strong password and don't share it.
3. Acceptable use
Don't use RingTheTill to send spam, harass people, evade taxes, commit fraud, or break any law. We can suspend accounts that do.
4. Your content
You own the invoices and data you create. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content as needed to run the service.
5. Payments & fees
RingTheTill is free to use. Payments are processed via Stripe and we collect a 2% platform fee per successful payment. Stripe's own fees apply on top. Refunds are between you and your client.
5a. Receipts & download links
For your client's privacy, PDF receipts use a separate, unguessable link from the invoice URL. Receipt links expire 60 days after payment and stop working after that — at which point the business can resend a fresh receipt link from their dashboard. Manually marked-as-paid invoices (cash, check, ACH, etc.) are also issued receipts but never have Stripe or RingTheTill processing fees applied.
6. Service availability
We try hard to keep things running but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance and the occasional outage happen.
7. Termination
You can cancel anytime from Settings. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms or for legal reasons, with reasonable notice when possible.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
Our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of $100 or the platform fees you paid us in the prior 12 months.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If changes are material, we'll give notice in-app or by email. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
